This is the standard product modify screen. A product can be selected by using the scanner to input the bar-code, or by typing a few letters of the product description and using the alpha lookup to find the product, as with the sales screen.
Buttons at the base allow for printing a shelf edge label or a product bar-code. If a receipt printer is available, the shelf edge label is printed on this and is cut to the specified depth. Without a receipt printer, the labels are printed on the default printer by inserting a small piece of paper in the rear pass-through slot. We found it convenient to use pages from a 'Jotter' pad. After printing, the slip is trimmed to size with a small guillotine. Bar-codes are always printed on the default printer.
