Log in by pressing enter twice when the program starts. This will log you in as a guest operator and create a sales screen.
Then press the letter i followed by the enter key. The letter i is a hotkey. The system will issue an error beep for an unrecognised product. Repeat pressing the letter i followed by the enter key second time. This time a new window appears. By forcing the operator to enter a code twice, ProffittCenter avoids the creation of a new product when a bar code is only partially read or miss-read.
The suggestion of Ice pole has already been filled in, as well as a suggested price from a stored table known as the import table. You may be able to replace this with your own import table at a later stage, or if this is not the product you wish to be represented by the hotkey i, then just overwrite the entries with your own description and price. Now, just press enter repeatedly until the OK button has been pressed. The first item sold will now appear on the sales screen.
