Sales

For normal sales operations:
Type or scan the product code followed by the Tab or Enter key (a laser scanner can automatically append a tab to scanned bar codes when correctly set up). [Unknown products will need to be scanned twice to avoid accepting fragments of bar codes as product IDs. After the second entry, the label next to the entry box will change to 'Enter description...' ]

Or

Type a hotkey followed by the Tab or Enter key, or for multiple products, type the hotkey followed by the number to be sold and then the Tab or Enter key

Or

Type any three or more letters - a list of product descriptions will appear in the 'Alpha Lookup screen, containing words starting with these letters, one of which can be selected with a left click of the mouse or the up and down arrow keys followed by the Enter key. The word entered does not have to be the first word of the description

Or

Type '10000' followed by a four digit 10000 code to sell items identified by a four digit code applied with a pricing gun.

The last product sold can be deleted by pressing the delete key.
To delete the sale of a product that is not the last item on the sales screen, select the item by the use of the up and down arrow keys, or using a mouse, and then press the delete key. After an item has been selected, the quantity may be modified by entering '*n' or '.n' followed by the Enter key or by pressing the Enter key alone to increase the quantity by 1. After these operations, the line selected will return to the last line of the sale.
To delete all of the items in a sale with one operation, simply hold the shift key down when pressing the delete key.

Price encoding
Price encoded products are handled correctly, both for existing products and for new products that are entered.
