If a customer brings back an item for a refund and it is decided to repay the customer, then type a minus sign '-' and then scan the item. The amount to be paid will be shown as negative, indicating a refund. Entering a zero followed by the enter key will then open the cash drawer. All operators can perform this action. Refunds can be performed as part of a sale, if desired, such as when items are exchanged. After these operations are complete, the item will have been returned to stock. If the item is not fit for resale, it is set aside, and at a later stage, it is wasted, or returned, as appropriate. [Previous] [Main] [Next] |
