Receipts are only printed after the sale is complete. When a receipt is required, press the F10 key at any time after the first item is sold, up until the sales screen is cleared. A receipt is printed out on the receipt printer selected in the settings screen. If the default printer is selected, the receipt is best printed out on a small sheet of paper. For several years, we used sheets from a tear-off jotter pad, fed into the pass-through slot at the rear of the printer. A receipt for a past sale can be printed by locating the sale in the 'Tables|Sales' screen and pressing 'F10'. Below is shown an enlarged copy of a simple receipt printed on the default printer.
If desired, a message consisting of three lines of text may be added to the receipt by storing the lines in the Settings screen. These lines are placed at the head of the next receipt, in an otherwise unused portion. The normal mode of operation is with a receipt only being printed on demand. If the default printer is used for receipts, it would be unwise to print out receipts for every sale, as this would significantly slow down throughput at the point of sale. If, however, a receipt is required after every sale, there is a checkbox to opt for this choice in the settings screen. [Previous] [Main] [Next] |
