If you need to start a second sale before the first is completed, generally called a Layaway function, press F2 to generate a second sales screen. You can switch freely between the two sales by pressing the key combination Ctrl/Tab. (Press and hold the Control key and then press the Tab key.) When one of the sales is completed, after a period of time, the visible sales screen will be deleted and just the remaining sales screen will be visible. If a product is sold before this happens, an error beep will be issued and the sales screen deleted. You will then have to decide whether to press F2 again to start a fresh sale, or add the item to the existing laid away sale. It is possible to lay away more than one sale, by pressing F2 more than once. If an incomplete sale exists without activity for some time, the Nag timer gives a double ring to remind the operator. This is important with sales that are laid away, as they can easily be forgotten. Another way of clearing a completed sale is to press F3. Note that pressing F3 on an incomplete sale will just delete the sale. If there are no more sales, it will log the operator out. [Previous] [Main] [Next] |
