There are occasions when databases get damaged. This usually means that the various indexes are no longer in step with the data in the table. In most cases, the damage is recoverable. Another program is included in the download to achieve this. Roman Krejci provided the program and the source code is available at his web site: http://www.rksolution.cz. To activate the program click on the menu item File|Database|Repair. If the faults are such that ProffittCenter will not run, this program can be run directly from its location at 'C:\Program Files\ ProffittCenter\Repair. The operation of the program is self-explanatory. Select the database alias first: this will normally be till. Individual tables can be repaired, or the whole database. Repairing the whole database will take up to ten minutes. If this is unsuccessful, the last backed up database can be restored. This will normally be the copy made after cashing up the night before.
