This screen is activated from the Tables|Operators menu item. The Operator ID is the number that has to be entered to change operator when 'F4' is pressed. We have used low numbers but longer numbers and bar-coded passes would help prevent Operators from using a password with greater authority than they are entitled. The authority ratings run from 0 to 6. 0. The operator has full privileges - reserved for owners. 1. The operator has almost the same privileges; for use by managers. 2. Staff member with addition rights to give % discounts and input deliveries. 3. Staff member with right to input deliveries. 4. Staff member. Not allowed to read takings, cashing up, modify databases, etc. 5. Trainee. The operator is just training in the use of the sales screen. No actual sales take place. 6. The till is locked to prevent unauthorised use. The Print button is used to print out details, including a bar code using the default printer, suitable for laminating to make a staff pass. Printed passes will have a preceding 1004 so that the pass will be recognised by the sales screen. A separate delete button is now hidden if there is a sole owner or manager displayed.
